catch one’s eye
눈길을 끌다(시각적인 것)
→ 문자 그대로 누군가의 시선을 잡아끈다는 의미. 매력적이거나 주목할 만해서 자연스럽게 사람들의 시선을 끌 때 사용하는 표현이다. catch one’s attention(grab one’s attention)/interest라는 표현도 자주 사용된다.
attention은 더 넓은 의미의 관심을 의미 한다. get one’s attention은 더 적극적인 노력과 의도로 주의를 끌 때 사용된다.
